LIVE music, entertainment and fun for all the family will be on the menu this Saturday as the annual Washington Carnival returns.
Albany Park will once again play host to this year’s free event, which takes place this Saturday, September 13 from 10am-4pm. 
Aimed at all the family, the day will feature fairground rides, face painting, circus skills and games, balloon modelling and many more activities including arts and crafts.
Washington History Society will provide a historic display, while many other local traders are expected on the day along with food and drink vans.
Live music will be provided by Celtic Man, Laura Cairns and Sophie Gordon, while local residents will also be taking to the stage for a Washington’s Got Talent show.
The now annual event, funded by councillors from the Washington Area Community and organised by Community Opportunities, is free and open to everyone.
