TIME is running out for anyone still hoping to enter next week’s Walk for Parkinson’s event at Herrington Country Park.
Designed to get people together in a sponsored walk to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK, events are held across the UK.
Walk for Parkinson’s Sunderland will take place on Sunday, September 6 at 11am and involves either a 2.4mile or 4.8mile route, which will take in the park’s sculptures, lakes and art.
Both routes will involve Tarmac and gravel paths and the longer route will also feature grass and sections on the road.
Tickets are £12 per adult and free for under-18s and the suggested fundraising target per participant is £100.
