Popularised early last year, the worldwide challenge is a series of dance moves set to the song Jerusalema, gospel-influenced house tune by South African producer Master KG and sung by Nomcebo.
Participants video themselves dancing and upload it to social media, tagging friends, family and more to challenge others to partake and upload their own versions.
And now, a Washington-based Facebook group has been formed to push the craze in its move through the town.

Washington Jerusalema Community Dance Challenge 2021 was set up by Julia, one of the group admins, who revealed the launch was all to do with breaking the routine of the current UK restrictions.
“We’re planning to have some fun to alleviate the stress of lockdown,” she said in a group post.
“It’s an opportunity to come together as a community in Washington and celebrate, through the medium of dance, all that is good in our lives.
“The purpose of the group is to plan and prepare to rehearse, perform, video, edit, then post our collective performance. It should be fun!”
