FUN, FOOD AND FAIRGROUND RIDES AS FAMILIES FLOCK TO WASHINGTON CARNIVAL

RAIN failed to stop play as families from across the town headed to Washington Carnival at the weekend.

The popular event returned at Albany Park on Saturday, attracting plenty of visitors young and old across the day.

Organised by Community Opportunities and funded by councillors from the Washington Area Committee, the day featured a host of entertainment for all the family.

From fairground rides, climbing walls and a car exhibition to arts and crafts, heritage and history exhibition and stalls, there was plenty to see and do, along with a selection of food and drink vans.

Entertainment came from live bands and singers throughout the day and residents also got the chance to take to the stage in a Washington’s Got Talent show.
