Reilly’s Greengrocers closes

THE shutters came on Washington staple Reilly’s Greengrocers this week for what could be the final time after the shop announced its closure.

The food store, situated behind the Front Street bus stop in Concord, shut up shop earlier this week for what may be the last time as owner Kevin Reilly announced its closure after Tuesday, October 19.

The stores were established way back in 1978 and for more than 40 years have been a fixture in the town, providing everything from fresh produce to cards, gifts, flowers and more through Reilly’s Cards next door.

Shop boss Kevin, who has recently taken up employment elsewhere, told Washington Way he was hoping to find a buyer soon to keep the stores going into the future.
