WASHINGTON’S newest B&M store will open its doors tomorrow morning.
B&M will open in the Galleries at 8am tomorrow – Friday, January 26 – in the unit formerly occupied by Wilko.
Bringing 25 new jobs to the town, the leading discount retailer has taken over the 18,337sqft unit which has enjoyed a substantial refit and now the team is ready to roll when the doors open in the morning.
Following Wilko’s closure last year, B&M confirmed in November it had taken possession of the unit, news welcomed by Washington residents who were disappointed by the closure
Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries at low prices including a range of food, drink, and pet food.
There will also be a selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and more.
Ian McGregor, Centre Manager at the Galleries, Washington, welcomed B&M to the centre:
“This thriving shopping centre has made a stream of exciting new tenant announcements recently and we’re thrilled B&M has recognised what a great location this is for its newest store,” he said.
“Having nationally known brands alongside our local, independent traders is what makes the Galleries a great place to shop.”
The store manager from B&M added: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”
The new store is the second B&M to open in Washington, as the brand celebrates a decade in the town following the opening of its Peel Retail Park store in 2014.
