DO you have a bit of spare time on your hands over the coming months? Why not get out and about and help improve the town?
Keep Washington Tidy has released the dates and details of a number of community litter picks set to be held across the town between the end of January and March.
Community litter picks will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in the coming weeks, taking in parts of the town such as Oxclose, Sulgrave, Concord, Donwell and Barmston.
They are open to anyone who wants to pop along and join in and all equipment is provided. Upcoming dates:
Monday January 29: Donwell – meet at the Wessington car park at 9am
Tuesday January 30: Sulgrave – meet at the Top Club car park at 1pm
Thursday February 1: Oxclose – meet at Oxclose Community Academy at 1pm
Monday February 5: Albany – meet at Albany Village Centre at 9am
Tuesday February 6: Sulgrave – meet at the Top Club car park at 1pm
Thursday February 8: Oxclose – meet at Oxclose Community Academy at 1pm
Monday February 12: The Drive – meet at Marshall’s shop at 9am
Tuesday February 13: Sulgrave – meet at the Top Club car park at 1pm
Thursday February 15: Oxclose – meet at Oxclose Community Academy at 1pm
Monday February 19: Concord – meet at Spout Lane car park behind New Tavern pub at 9am
Tuesday February 20: Sulgrave – meet at the Top Club car park at 1pm
Thursday February 22: Oxclose – meet at Oxclose Community Academy at 1pm
Monday February 26: Fatfield – meet at Washington Arts Centre at 9am
Tuesday February 27: Sulgrave – meet at the Top Club car park at 1pm
Thursday February 29: Oxclose – meet at Oxclose Community Academy at 1pm
Monday March 4: Barmston – meet at the car park next to NE38 Sports Bar at 9am
Tuesday March 5: Sulgrave – meet at the Top Club car park at 1pm
Thursday March 7: Oxclose – meet at Oxclose Community Academy at 1pm
Monday March 11: Glebe – meet at the Glebe Park car park next to St Joseph’s Primary School at 9am
