A WASHINGTON pub is inviting buddings singers to step up to the mic this month as part of a nationwide karaoke competition.
The Bird Inn at Concord is taking part in Proper Pub Idol 2026, a competition held annually at Proper Pubs across the country, with a prize of £1000 up for grabs.
Karaoke kings and queens are invited to take the mic on one of three karaoke nights throughout September, with the best three (as chosen by the pub’s judges) on each night then going onto the pub final.
From there, there will be the opportunity to move onto the regional and perhaps even the national final, where the winner will receive £1000.
At the Bird Inn, heats will be held on Friday September 11, Friday September 18 and Friday September 25 and are open to anyone over 18.
