STILL TIME TO VISIT WASHINGTON’S INCREDIBLE HALLOWEEN HOUSE TO HELP RAISE MONEY FOR BABY LOSS CHARITY

IT looks like something from a theme park – but this amazing Halloween display is welcoming visitors each evening to a small street in Washington – and it’s all for an incredible cause.

The house, in Petteril, Rickleton features an amazing collection of animatronics, animations, lights, projector images and possibly the biggest collection of spooky characters the WW team has ever seen.

And not only is it a fantastic place to take the kids to see this Halloween, the lady behind it hopes it will help raise funds for a charity very close to her heart.

The display is aiming to raise money for the Sands charity, in honour of seven-week-old Oakley David Archer who tragically passed away earlier this year

Becci Jane is raising money for Sands, the UK pregnancy and baby loss charity in the name of a beautiful baby boy called Oakley David Archer who tragically passed away earlier this year due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) at just seven weeks old.

“Oakley was the grandson of my best friend Danielle,” she said. “His mum and dad Molly and Bailey had seven precious weeks and a lifetime of love. He may have only been here a short time but his impact will last forever.

“I wanted to honour him in the best way I could and that is by trying to raise money in his name for Sands charity.”

Becci Jane’s display spans the width of her garden and is filled with ghosts, monsters, horror film characters and much more.

And at the very front attached to the fence is spotlit poster about Oakley along with a QR code which visitors can scan to make a donation.

“It would be lovely people could make a little donation, it doesn’t matter how small, every pound raised will help Sands support families who are facing the heartbreak of losing a baby – while keeping Oakley’s memory alive,” she added.

Becci Jane is no stranger to creating incredible garden displays. Last year she pulled out all the stops to create an amazing Christmas garden – and she’s planning the same this year.

“As soon as Halloween is over, I’ll be starting on the Christmas display to continue raising money in Oakley’s name. I’m also going to do the Great North Run next year to keep the fundraising going and honour one very special little boy.”

Her house is at Petteril close to Rickleton Village centre but is actually located on the footpath behind the street – just through the archway with garages.

It will be on from 4.30pm –8:30/9pm each night until Halloween.

Anyone who can’t visit but would still like to support the charity can donate via her Just Giving page
