WASHINGTON residents can honour those who gave their lives in service for the country at a choice of two different venues in the town this Sunday, November 9.
In Washington Village, members of the community and the town as a whole are being invited to pay tribute to the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom by joining the annual Remembrance Parade.
This will begin at Our Lady RC Church at 10am and will head down to the Cenotaph in the centre of the village.
There will also be a Service of Remembrance at Holy Trinity Church in the Village at 9.30am, followed by a gathering at the Cenotaph at 10.30am.
Meanwhile, Fatfield will also host a parade at the riverside.
Open to all, this parade will begin at 10.45am at Duxbury Park and head along to the Cenotaph. Again, this is open to all.
