A WASHINGTON school is preparing for two open evenings over the next two weeks, aimed at two different age groups.
This Wednesday, September 30, St Robert of Newminster Catholic School will host a Year 6 open evening from 5-8pm.
Parents and carers of current Year 6 pupils across Washington are invited to drop in and meet the staff and some of the pupils – along with the school’s new mascot, Novus.
The evening will also be an opportunity to take a tour of the school and learn more about its facilities and ask questions.
A week later, it will be the turn of older prospective pupils, in a Sixth Form open evening on Thursday, October 8 from 5.30-8pm.
Open to any young person thinking about their next steps after Year 11, it will an opportunity to discover more about the school’s Sixth Form courses.
Both the headteacher and Head of Sixth Form will be giving talks at 6pm and 7pm and the Sixth Form team will be on hand for more information.
This event is open to all current Year 11 pupils along with parents and carers.
