THE new school year may have just started, but families with children heading to secondary school next year are already being invited to look at their options.
Washington Academy is inviting prospective students and their families to an open evening next week to discover more about the school and what it has to offer.
The Spout Lane school will open its doors on Thursday, September 17 to all Year 5 and Year 6 students and their parents and carers, giving them the opportunity to meet the staff and take a look at the facilities.
Visitors will be able to take a tour of the classrooms, specialist spaces and facilities, discover the curriculum and subjects and learn more about the opportunities available to students.
The event will run from 5-7.30pm with an introduction from the principal at 5pm and 6pm followed by the chance to tour the school.
