VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT TO JOIN COMMUNITY LITTER PICKS

WASHINGTON residents with a bit of spare time on their hands are being invited to roll up their sleeves and help clean up the town.

Keep Washington Tidy is always on the lookout for volunteers to join in with a number of community litter picks held regularly across the town.

These litter picks currently run on Monday mornings and Thursday afternoons in various parts of Washington, with volunteers now a regular sight across the town.

These are open to anyone who wants to pop along to join in and all equipment is provided.

This month, there are five more community picks in various parts of Washington:

Thursday September 14: Oxclose – meet at Hope Church 1pm for 1.10pm start.

Monday September 18: Lambton – meet at Lambton Village Centre 9am for 9.15pm start.

Thursday September 21: Oxclose – meet at Hope Church 1pm for 1.10pm start.
