BUSES returned to Concord Bus Station this morning after resurfacing work was completed five days early.
The entire station and the adjacent crossing closed on August 24 for essential repairs and maintenance and had been scheduled to remain shut until Sunday.
Temporary bus stops were put in place in and around Concord to cause as little disruption as possible to passengers during the closure and last week it looked like there was still some way to go before buses returned.

But it was back to business this morning as the buses rolled in and out of the newly-surfaced station, with road markings still to be completed, although this has been ongoing throughout the day.
The temporary bus stops were being removed today as normal service resumed and it means the Bus Station is now back in action in good time for this Saturday’s Washington Carnival.
