THE team behind Concord’s illuminations has confirmed the date for the 2026 switch on.
Washington’s official festive lights will power up on Monday, November 23 as part of an evening of fun for all the family.
The annual switch on and fireworks display has become a popular evening for residents of all ages – and once again promises plenty to see and do on Victoria Road, which will close to traffic for the event.
Funded by Washington Area Committee, the evening will feature funfair rides and food vendors along with musical performances from Albany Village Primary Choir, plus local singers Sophie Gordon and Laura Cairns.
Mayor Coun Robert Hutchinson and Mayoress Coun Glenda Hall will also be in attendance.
The event will take place from 4.30pm-6.30pm with the fireworks due to begin at 6pm and entry is free.
